The stylist URA changed my life
August 23, 2013
Mayumi Akazaki, 53 years old, is a jazz singer from Nagoya. She is a professional singer, had solo live in NAGOYA Blue Note, a famous jazz club, and released 3 album.
“Music does not lie. It reflects everything about myself. I want to express myself and try new music style. I was looking for a change.” Mayumi said.
It was a good timing when Mayumi found Ms. Ura’s work on internet. Her style was inspiring, so it did not take too long for Mayumi to visit Ms. Ura at the hair salon “FLOWERS.”
“Ms. Ura recommended to have a short bang saying it will be Kawaii (cute). She was so natural and friendly, so I could relax and rely on her advices on style, color, and everything about my hair.”
Mayumi smiled.
When Ms. Ura met Mayumi, she thought about Mayumi on stage with a spotlight singing jazz songs. It gave Ms. Ura inspiration about her hairstyle. She decided to create a cool and sophisticated style.
The keywords for Mayumi’s hairstyle are elegant texture, unique hair color, and cutting-edge style.
Ms. Ura used razor cut technique; keeping some hair longer on the back to have movement, cutting very short on the top for the hair to stand out, cutting bang short and have some volume.
For hair color, the concept was “jazzy pink.” Ms. Ura kept Mayumi’s original hair color as a base, then bleached randomly for bang, on the side of the head, and on the back to be highlighted, then applied violet red color.
As a result, Mayumi’s new hair style was completed. It looks fashionable, unique, matured, and was reflecting Mayumi’s character.
“I feel myself different since I have a new hair style. It has changed my style and the way I am. I also have very good comments from my friends.”
The change in hairstyle became a turning point for Mayumi’s life, and of course a successful one.
When you want to find new way of life, if you had a hairstylist who can collaborate, it could make a good turning point in one’s life.
