Chiharu Horie, 53 years old, is working as an university administration office. Since she is working at university, she is surrounded by young people, but the most influential person is her own daughter who is “Dukusha-model” an amateur model who appears in fashion magazines.

“My daughter is like a friend. We often go to movie together, talk about fashion and love. She also gives me advises on how to choose clothes. Her advises are very objective, so it is really useful for me.” Chiharu said.

“The hair salon has a relaxing atmosphere since all the staff are very friendly.” The hair salon is her favorite place.

Chiharu has natural wavy hair which makes styling difficult. Also her hair is very soft and difficult to volume up. This time, she requested her hairstylist to make a well-balanced hairstyle with soft and natural movement.

Her hairstylist, Shunsuke Takahashi, created a hairstyle which emphasizes her elegance using her natural wavy hair.  He carefully cut her bang with length down to her eyes, and then cut the side to give a natural hair volume.

“The challenge was to use her natural wavy hair to give volume. So I checked carefully the characteristics of her hair and amount of hair parts by parts. Mr. Takahashi explained.

He used gradation cut technique for the backside where she has less volume to make a perfect balance. He also advised her to use the so called “magic curler” for styling.

“The magic curl technique works great to keep my hair style for a long time.”
